Η πατενταρισμένη ΣΥΝΔΕΣΗ σωλήνων VULKANLOKRING χωρίς την χρήση φλόγας λειτουργεί βάσει των απλών φυσικών νόμων. Αποτελείται από δύο δαχτυλίδια και μία σωληνοειδής άρθρωση η οποία λαμβάνει τα δύο άκρα των σωλήνων. Κατά τη συναρμολόγηση, τα άκρα του σωλήνα εισάγονται εντός του συνδέσμου προς το εσωτερικό όριο του συνδέσμου.
Στη συνέχεια, ένα εργαλείο συναρμολόγησης χρησιμοποιείται για να ωθήσει τα δύο δαχτυλίδια LOKRING αξονικά πάνω στην άρθρωση. Λόγω του κωνικού εσωτερικού περιγράμματος των συνδέσμων LOKRING και το ειδικό εξωτερικό και εσωτερικό περίγραμμα της άρθρωσης, η διάμετρος της άρθρωσης μειώνεται κατά τη διάρκεια της συναρμολόγησης έτσι ώστε ο σωλήνας να είναι 100% στεγανός με μία ερμητική και αξιόπιστη σύνδεση να είναι έτοιμη προς χρήση.
